Tytus Abrahamson

Olathe native Tytus Abrahamson is thrilled to once again sing with old friends and colleagues as a member of Octarium. A graduate in Voice from the University of Kansas, Tytus has appeared on the opera stages of the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Palm Beach Opera, Liederkranz Opera Theatre, Gold Coast Opera, and the New York Lyric Opera in such roles as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte and Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus. As a choral singer Tytus has also had the privilege to sing as a member and soloist of the Kansas City Chorale, Charis Ensemble (New York), and the Pro Arte Singers (Connecticut). In addition to his performing credits, last April Tytus premiered his composition of The Seven Last Words of Christ and in August was thrilled to have his setting of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis sung in St. Mary's Cathedral (Edinburgh, Scotland) and York Minster Cathedral.
