Kate Lohmann 

Kate Lohmann, mezzo soprano, sang under the direction of Simon Carrington from 1996-2000 at the University of Kansas. Lohmann has been a member of the vocal ensemble Octarium from its inception in 2003 through the 2004-2005 concert season. She performed with the octet at the 2005 ACDA National Convention in Los Angeles and on Octarium’s self-titled debut CD.   In 2008, Lohmann became a founding member of the Simon Carrington Chamber Singers and  sang with the ensemble for four seasons. Lohmann has also been a member of the Kansas City based early music ensemble KC Collegium Vocale since 2009, under the direction of Pepperdine's Dr. Ryan Board. KC Collegium Vocale has collaborated on projects with the Friends of Chamber Music, William Jewell College's JEMS fest, and the KC Baroque Consortium. Lohmann is currently an registered nurse working in intensive care and living in Seattle, Washington.  She is also a student at the University of Arizona, training to become an acute care nurse practitioner.
